Charbel Saliba

Originally from Baalbek, I have been working as a tour guide for over 25 years. I represent the third generation of guides in my family—needless to say, this profession is a true passion of mine.

Alongside my field experience, I have also conducted extensive studies and research on the region, which has allowed me to develop a deep and thorough understanding of Baalbek.

I offer tours that go beyond the beaten path. Of course, we visit the world-renowned temples, which are always fascinating. But beyond these famous archaeological sites, the region is full of hidden gems waiting to be explored: the Roman quarries, the old houses of Palmyra, the Temple of Mercury, the village of Deir el Ahmar, ancient Maronite churches, mosques, and more.

Here, people from different cultures come together—and that’s part of the region’s unique charm.
