The Beiteddine Palace Museum is housed in the former palace stables and exhibits Byzantine mosaics from different locations in Lebanon, including churches.
These mosaics are displayed in various interior spaces, which once accommodated riders and horses. Some are also placed in the museum's surrounding gardens.
Several of these mosaics were originally collected from the Church of Jiyeh and can be dated back to the 5th and 6th centuries, as indicated by the Greek inscriptions they bear.
