Hammam el-Abed is Tripoli’s only operational Public Bathing-House and is located near Khan es-Saboun. It was presumably built at the end of the 17th Century and is equipped with the usual pierced domes of public baths from the Ottoman and Mamlukes Eras. This Public Bath is a living museum with a central fountain, a pleasant interior with comfy cushions and traditional fittings.
