Standing in South Hermel (Beqaa), Kamouh el Hermel, also known as the Hermel Pyramid, dates back to the end of the Hellenistic period. It’s approximately 20 meters tall.
This towering structure has left scholars intrigued, as they propose various theories about its purpose. Some suggest it may have functioned as a funerary site, while others believe it could have been a monument honoring the impressive abilities of a Syrian royal. The pyramid has a mystique, and captivating scenes adorn each of its four sides.
