The Roman Nymphaeum
The Roman Nymphaeum in Byblos is a monumental fountain adorned with several niches. It is found by heading northeast from the Crusader castle, after passing columns and remains of the pavement of the Roman road.

Traditionally, a nymphaeum is a basin or cave that receives a source considered sacred.
