The Castle of St. Louis, also known as Qalaat Al Muizz, was constructed by the Crusaders during the 13th Century on the remains of a fortress built by the Fatimid Caliph Al Muizz. It is situated to the south of the Old Souks, near Murex Hill. The castle has undergone several restoration stages during the Mamluk Era, which are easily observable in its present state. Additionally, there are around a dozen Roman Columns dispersed on the ground at the foot of the hill.
