The palestra was built in the 2nd century AD. It covers an area of 30 square meters and is surrounded by granite columns. Located not far from the arena, this place was used for athlete training.

It was destroyed during the Byzantine period: at that time, it had many reservoirs, which suggest that the space had been transformed into a purple dye factory.
