Step into a world where nature’s artistry unfolds at every turn—where cascading waterfalls, ancient pathways, and an overwhelming diversity of flora create a breathtaking experience. This hike takes us through the valley floor, tracing the river’s course and uncovering the deep connection between earth, water, and history.
Our adventure begins near the Hydraulic Power Plant, at the eastern entrance of Kadisha Valley. Here, the mighty forces of nature and human ingenuity intertwine, setting the stage for a journey into a realm untouched by time. As we move forward, the valley’s biodiversity reveals itself in layers—towering trees, rare plants, and delicate flowers thriving in the embrace of this ancient land.
Following the river section, we weave through the valley’s heart, stepping into a sanctuary where nature’s rhythm dictates the pace. The gentle flow of the water guides our steps, leading us toward the wooden bridge, where the scenery shifts from serene beauty to sheer astonishment. The sight of waterfalls cascading into the valley below is nothing short of breathtaking—an awe-inspiring moment where nature’s raw power meets delicate tranquility.
From here, we continue toward the Qannoubine Monastery, a place that carries whispers of centuries past. As one of the oldest monastic sites in Lebanon, it stands as a sentinel to faith, endurance, and the harmonious connection between humanity and the wilderness. Walking through the gigantic valley, we are surrounded by an enormous diversification of flora—each step unveiling new textures, colors, and scents that encapsulate the soul of this land.
As the journey reaches its conclusion, we board our transportation bus for the return trip, carrying with us the echoes of nature’s wonders and the profound stories etched into the valley’s walls.
