Hiking Day in Akroum, Akkar

Let's go for a rich and diverse hiking experience, blending preserved nature, Roman heritage, and breathtaking views. From the starting point in Kobayat and the visit of Akroum village, the trail winds through forested and rocky landscapes, leading to three ancient Roman temples, carved rock presses, and sweeping panoramas over Wadi Es-Sabaa.

The hike continues toward the Al-Nir plateau before descending into the spectacular Valley of the Lions, where two remarkable ancient steles can be seen carved into the cliffs. A traditional lunch prepared by local villagers adds a warm human touch to this scenic adventure. The trail then follows a wide historic path, once used by ancient armies, leading to a stone bridge and a refreshing spring— the perfect ending to a memorable day.
