Baakline Waterfall

Baakline’s waterfall is nothing less than a breathtaking heaven, it is unbelievably beautiful. It is actually a bit of paradise. Thanks to the encompassing trees, the water boasts an emerald shading. Once in a while and following a certain rhythm, a small leaf touches the still water. The quietness and peace one finds in this place exist only in dreams. Shockingly enough, the waterfalls rely upon the snowfalls of the winter which implies that these waterfalls may cease to exist if our winters continue to get hotter.

What characterizes Baakline waterfalls as a paradise spot is that one can rent tables, seats, and a brazier, among other things that make for an exceptional picnic.

Allowing the little waterfalls to flow over you is a very enticing experience. However, the people in charge have lately included fences as an endeavor to keep individuals from hopping into the water. The advantage behind this initiative is a more organized and safe experience for all visitors.

You can follow your traditional Lebanese meal with a stroll around the reserve and enjoy a thrilling and astonishing view of the place from a remote location. Trees, waterfalls, rough slopes, leaves falling everywhere… now if that isn’t serenity, we don’t know what is.

Remember:

  • The best time to go there is likely amid August and the start of September, to enjoy some coolness
  • Take your food and drinks with you. You can rent tables, seats, and a grill there.
  • If you plan on visiting during the weekend, it is ideal to go on a Saturday as the area is typically swarmed on Sundays.
  • If you would prefer not to spend the day there, Beiteddine Palace, Kaser Moussa (Moussa Palace), Deir El Qamar and even Barouk Cedars Reserve are close by.

It is truly a breathtaking piece of mother nature. A place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
