In 1955, Lebanese speleologists made a remarkable discovery known as Rouiess Cave in Akoura. This cave features an underground river and spans approximately six kilometers, containing numerous passages and chambers.
Each level of the cave possesses distinct characteristics. Notably, it houses Lebanon's second-largest chamber, surpassed only by Jeita.
Due to the absence of artificial lighting or pathways, visitors must be prepared to navigate through complete darkness, relying solely on their tools !
