The monastery in the name of the Savior was built in Bhannine Farm after a general assembly held by the Order on March 10, 1863 during Father Ephram Geagea’s era. During General Father Naamtallah Al-Kaddoum’s era on March 17, 1903, the establishment of a monastery in the name of Saint Takla was planned in the Shqadif – Rimat region with the approval of Patriarch Elias Howayek. However, it was later incorporated into the Savior’s Monastery in Bhannine. The basements of the ground floor of the Savior’s Monastery are ancient, while the present church dates back to 1897. The renovation of the current monastery and the upper floor took place between 1938 and 1940.
