Built on the remains of a Roman temple, Deir al Qalaa is an 18th-century Maronite monastery located in Beit Mery. Heavily damaged during the civil war, it has now been fully restored and several columns dating back to the Roman era can still be seen. One of them is visible in the current building's wall.

The monastery is still in use and is surrounded by French-style gardens and has a panoramic terrace.

Before reaching the monastery, on the left side of the road, you can see the ruins of buildings dating back to the Roman and Byzantine periods. On the floor of the ruin closest to the entrance of the monastery, a Byzantine mosaic floor can be discovered.
