This skiing station was built in 1968. It is the largest and the most professional station in the Middle East. It is one hour far from Beirut and it includes 42 slopes. From this station’s slopes (2465m), it is possible to see Bekaa’s coloured valley and many other sites like Laqlouq and the Cedars. Also, when the sky is clear, the skiers can observe distant villages and especially Beirut. This station includes almost 20 trails of 80 km divided according to there difficulty level (Baby2 Nord, Baby2 Sud, Ecole, Refuge, Petite Source, Donald, Débutant, Rocher, Jabal Dib, Mzaar, Junction, Rouge, Nabil, Refuge, Lac, Mickey, Vallon, Nord, Cabane).
Moreover, a great variety of activities is guaranteed to people willing to have fun and enjoy the good weather without skiing. Also, many restaurants and hotels are at the disposal of visitors so they can take pleasure in their winter vacation. Igloo is one of the most elegant restaurants and it offers a variety of international cuisine. Many other restaurants are available like Les Airelles (French cuisine), Le Refuge (country cuisine), Khaymet el Hor (Lebanese Mountain Cuisine), KOBE Restaurant (Japanese cuisine), Le Bar (Lobby) and In & Out Pool Side Café.
