9:00 am – Arrival and start of the hike.
The hike really begins in Oyoun Arghash, at the level of the tight turn of El-Bahs, at around 2,650 meters above sea level. From there, you can see the Bekaa to the east and the Mediterranean to the west.
Passing by Dahr Al-Qadib then Mount Al-Saleeb, we continue to the summit of Fam el Mizab, at 2850 meters above sea level.
We continue towards Qornet Fahd, el Zanamir, and Shafaq Al-Ayoun.
After about 3.5 hours of walking, we reach Qornet Al-Sawda, the highest peak in Lebanon, which culminates at 3088 meters above sea level. It overlooks Tripoli, Akkar, and the Syrian coast: in other words, we contemplate here a panorama that we are not about to forget.
It's time to take a well-deserved lunch break, and we can’t forget the photos that we will be happy to share and remember for years to come! Depending on the season, and if you are lucky, it is possible to observe birds of prey (eagle, falcon, and some other birds.)
After taking advantage of this moment of rest, it's time to return to our starting point.
To complete this loop of about 20 km, it may take around 7 to 8 hours of walking.
Each hiker should bring a packed lunch and enough water.
