Saint George Church

Saint George Church, also known as Mar Gerges, is located southwest of the Judge's Well. It was completed in August 1867 by the chief mason Tanios Deebo from Batroun. The Greek Orthodox church is built from Batoun's sandstone, and its main gate on the south is made of limestone from Thoum.

The cathedral has two vaults, a main vault called a cupola and a secondary one shaped like a cross. The main vault is particularly high and considered one of the most beautiful of its kind in Lebanon, while the secondary vault overlooks the altar. The church is notable for its female accommodation in the north and south corners, located right under the dome.
