This section starts near Mar Takla church behind the fence and follows the paved road leading to Afqa cave. Pass the bridge and head left towards the juniper forest along the dirt road, passing by the Roman inscription.
Walk down the paved road once again and take the left fork onto the dirt road. Go down it for few kilometres, passing Nabaa Lassa spring and the organic farm. Continue on past the Nabaa el Hadid spring, continue and take left turn on another dirt road, climb up to reach a "cartridge graveyard" then take the footpath towards Nabaa el Qana spring.
Follow the dirt road until you reach the paved road than another dirt road follows, make sure you do not miss the turn to the right toward the cliff, a great panoramic trail awaits you following a footpath under the cliff crossing the bridge and later climbing toward the paved road again near the Monastery.
